About
My name is Eileen Chai.
I was a national athlete in Gymnastics, Athletics and Springboard Diving, and now,
an author, speaker, a violin teacher and performer.
I started gymnastics when I was four,
representing Singapore at 7
and began my training in China at 9.
I won my first gold medal overseas at 10.
My dream was to take part in the Olympics.
I went through the challenging life journey as a child and through my adulthood.
I have learnt to overcome difficulties, stay focused
and look forward to the next step.
Our first step is not to succeed,
but to be prepared to fall, recognise our mistakes,
embrace the next step to make it good or even better.
The lessons learnt are shared through the story of my life,
in the form of a book and songs.
The title of the book is Teach a Life, for Life,
while the songs are Reborn, Enjoy the Ride & Spread Your Wings,
launched on the 14 June 2014.
More songs have been released since then.

Now, Teach a Life, for Life serves to encourage people
from all walks of life to share their stories and
pass forward their life lessons learnt
to better the lives of people - to discover, inspire and motivate one another.
Moving forward, stories are collated from people of all walks of life,
and the life lessons learnt will be expressed in music
to enrich the community.

As a violin teacher, I look into the violinists' development,
not only in their violin playing technique, but also in their character development.
To follow the young violinists' development & performances,
Strings for Kindness & Vonder Kids.
Yours Sincerely,
Eileen Chai
